Barrancabermeja, is located in the department of Santander being the second most influential city in it, because it has the country's largest refinery. It is located in the Colombian East. The distance from Barrancabermeja to Santander’s capital is 136 kilometers. We are currently working on a project to improve the navigability and trade in the banks of the Magdalena Medio. It features a unique museum in the country called "Oil Museum Samuel Sneider Uribe", chain stores, parks, spas and social areas, Football Stadium Daniel Villa Zapata where the team's first play called Alianza Petrolera, Softball Stadium Joaquin Barros, skating rink where the World Junior Figure Skating was held in 1996, the Yariguies airport receives thousands of tourists who come to this warm city.

Among the festivities, its birthday stands on April 26, in the passing of the year important folklore events like: Festival of bands and orchestras, vallenato’s festival, kite festival, sweet festival, International Reign of Oil. You can enjoy a privilege that very few cities in our country have it, it is surrounded by water bodies like Miramar, San Silvestre morass. As for the educational level it has several professional schools of primary education, high school and both private and public.

The city of Barrancabermeja is  hotter than  Cucuta city in the departament Norte de Santander. As its  economy Barrancabermeja is more  than industrialized than Cucuta,its  economy is based on trade. The oil city of Colombia is much near to the capital of our country, it is pass beyond the river, more big and navigable, but both cities enjoy a friendly and jolly  atmosphere by the population.
